Tehri Dam Project: River Bhagirathi with its source at Gaumukh (Gangotri) after joining Alaknanda in Deoprayag becomes the Ganga. The Ganga after joining Bhilganga become the mighty river Ganga whose water is to tapped by Tehri Dam after 1.5 Km downstream of Sangam. The excess rain water would be tapped for production of Hydro power/Irrigation/Flood control/Fisheries/Tourism purposes-Hence called the Multipurpose Hydro Electric Project.
Kishau Dam Project : Proposed abou 95 km from Dehradun on Tons river, one of the tributeries of Yamuna. A concrete gravity dam about 236 meters. Total extra electric power generated will be to the tune 1688.19 x 106. On completion of the project 1.015 maf irrigation water will be available, out of this only 0.515 maf will utilized Eastern Yamuna Canal to irrigate 97076 Hectares of extra land and the rest. 500 maf will be made available for drinking water to Delhi State. The estimated cost as on 1996 estimate was 34.55 crores.
Rajghat Dam Project: This dam in Bundelkhand region on river Betwa takes care of Irrigation facilities of Both Uttar Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh State. The financial burden will be borne by both states under the central command of Betwa River Board. This project has been cleared by Central Government. The canal network is proposed to be borne by individual state governments. The Pump canal system of Betwa, Gurshahai and Bargaon is being considered.
Maudaha Dam Poject : This dam in extremely backward district of Hamirpur in Bundelkhand region. 95 % of construction has been completed in Rath Tehsil on Birma River.The reservior capacity is 28234 hectares (1660 hectares Charkharin Pump Canal and 26574 hectares in Moodhaa Main Canal) Land will irrigatable in and 2.8 million cubic metre drinking water would be made available. Initial sanctioned by Central Water Commission for Rs 11723.43 lacs.
Gunta Nala Dam Project : The Land between Karvi & Mau Tehsil could not fully utilised for shortage of irrigation facilities. The crop pattern is rain fed. Underground water availablity is not so good as be tapped. This Dam on Drought infested zone in village Raeperra on Karvi- Allahabd Highway. This project will irrigate 3880 hactare of cultivable land.
Pathrai Dam Project: This Earth filled Dam on river Parthari & Sukhnai river in Tehsil Mauranipur, Distt Jhansi will irrgate 2998 hectare of cultivable land. Work is in progress till date.
Chithorgarh Reservior Projects : To tap the water resources of 11 small tributaries flowing from Himalaya to join river Rapti. Bhabar nala drain is proposed to have Chittorgarh Reservior which will eventually irrigate 16.098 hectares of land.
Jamrani Multipurpose Dam Project : This dam is situated about 10 km from Kathgodam. The proposed Dam is 130.6 metre High Roller Compact Concrete structure. In the first phase a barrage on Gola River and a Feeder Channel and renuvation of the existing canal system is proposed. After completion 89702 hectares land will irrigated, 52.93 million cu metre drinking water and in future 15 megawatt Hydro Electric Power House is proposed.
